I would just address it if something like that happened to me in order not to attract people of a gender I'm not interested in and push those that I do like away
Me, I would want to dispel those rumors because I wouldn't want gay men getting the wrong idea, I wouldn't want to inadvertently lead them to thinking that I was interested in them.
