That is very true. Sometimes I think I like the character in the fanfics better than the character in the actual book.

The issue comes with a need for balance. The main character can't be perfect, otherwise they would be boring. Just like how a twenty inch burger would be worse than a regular one. A bad meat to bread ratio, you know?
