Those are eye boogers but it's sadder if it's a tear. Seriously though, as a long time dog trainer and breeder (German Shepherds) this one hit me right in the gut. :(
I'm not arguing that they aren't eye boogers. But every time my dog has ever cried, and I know the difference, it looked like eye boogers. Nonetheless, bless those people for giving their dog such a badass last meal. I hope he enjoyed it more than anything.
