This one has me conflicted, on one hand it's a dick move and kanye is king of douches, but on the other hand I just plain have never liked paparazzi and look down on that particular profession.

As long as there will be celebrities, there will be a need for paparazzi. People need money, other people pay these people money to do things, it's not their fault. What Kanye West did was uncalled for.
I get what you're saying, but there is no argument that will ever change my mind about people who choose to get paid to expose people's lives. Still, I'm not saying kanye isn't an asshole for what he did.
celebrities know that with the fame comes the paparazzi. if you don't want your private life on display, don't become famous. they have no problem being put on display for other things. ESPECIALLY KIM and KANYE. correct me if i'm wrong but didn't they have a bidding war for their kid's first pictures? (that alone speaks volumes) THEY open themselves up for that kind of treatment. just like with everything in life: you have to take the good with the bad. what kanye did wasn't just wrong....it was inhumane. he might have that kind of money laying around in his couch cushions but for the rest of us, that is like more than half a year's salary.
The best way I have heard it put is that you aren't getting paid for the work you do, the pay is compensation for being famous, for putting up with that shit.
I understand that paparazzis are mostly viewed as snooping assholes and I can't say whether that particular one is or isn't like that, but beating someone up AND walking out on fucking $12,000?! That's some high level douchebaggery.
