Wouldn't that actually be quite a bad day? No police; no hospitals; no fire brigade; no television; no one to ensure the Internet kept working; no reliable power or water supply; no post; no shops. Sounds like a scary thing to me :S

If EVERYONE did nothing for a day, the criminals, arsonists, and reckless drivers wouldn't be doing anything either. As for the other things, I'm good for going a day without that.

To what specialagentjesus said, it sort of reminds me of The Purge

@famousone: but power stations would be left unattended, leading to dangerous power fluctuations, inducing unexpected reactions between flammable materials, causing fires to break out, which would rage unchallenged through the station, the surrounding buildings, the neighbourhood, the whole town and then the surrounding woodland and countryside, slowly spreading across the country; all those in its path would do nothing to avoid death from the flames and so we would all die by being burnt to death. A cheerful example, I know ;)

I feel I need to mention heart attacks, strokes, animal attacks, drownings, poisonings, lightning strikes, women going into labor, SIDS (sudden infant death syndrom), fires (both indoor and out), dialysis, snake/spider bites (especially on the young/old), building collapses, earthquakes, and I could go on and on. Imagined if the world chilled out when the tsunami hit Japan? We all live in a society and if we stop working (or chilled out) all at once, only death would result.

Does it bother anyone else that the lines that make his eyes don't connect. They are just short of each other

Hmmm... A little too nice... Why does it feel like something's going to go horribly wrong?
