I'm almost 14 and have never had a boyfriend. This upsets me because people have been dating since the sixth grade. Am I missing something? It might have to do with the whole private school thing, and being only known for your appearance. Not everyone can look good without makeup in a uniform, I guess. Most of my friends have been in several relationships.Hope I'm not the only one with this problem.
I had a crush on this guy a month ago, and when my group of friends - him included, were having a d&m at night it turned out that he liked me too. I was like so surprised and flattered but then when I heard that he was planning on asking me out I freaked because I realized that I really didn't want to go out with anyone anyway. I'm 15 in less than a month.
I know it seems like it will never happen but I assure you your time for romance will come and it will be awkward, confusing and glorious. Some of us just take longer to emerge from the cocoon because we are becoming magnificent butterflies rather than drab moths.
There's nothing wrong with not having a boyfriend, It's better to wait until you find someone you actually like rather than dating dumb high school boys (I know what I'm saying, I was pretty stupid when I was 14)
Thanks mrsaxon :) Some of my biggest fears is that no one will ever actually love me, and that I will never let anyone love me. I get so anxious, always overanalysing everything so I feel like I won't ever just let myself fall for anyone. And with the guy - he doesn't know I don't like him anymore, or that I know he's (still?) planning on asking me out.
Having a bf is nothing to rush into or worry about if you don't. Stay young, have fun, enjoy your life!! Trust me, there's bigger burdens when you get the taste of relationship life
