I wish it would be the same with real people too

This is why I have so many crushes on fictional book charachters

And those people who are too lazy to read the books and go watch the movie instead start loving a character just because "they're sooo hot"

And yet, we always end up closing the book on them.

That is true but also you naturally imagine them as hot, no matter how they're described, unless the writer specifically describes them as ugly. And even then you imagine them a bit differently with every word they say that you like.

Sooooo, falling in love with the usually overweight writers who gave these characters their souls?

Unless you're reading deathnote (that's a manga)
