I actually think it depends on attractiveness, good looking shy guys still get attention and unattractive shy girls tend to get ignored or misunderstood
looks play a part but a lot of it is in personality. the reason men are treated differently is because we rarely get anything we don't look for. by that i mean we cannot rely on a girl to approach us. therefore the difference is a given. also society usually expects less emotionally from women
It depends on your looks. As a shy girl I never experienced the "I like shy girls anyway" or the "Let's go out" thing because I'm apparently not cute enough to be considered "the shy girl". Shy handsome guys get as much attention as shy cute girls and ugly/average shy people can go fuck themselves.
Also, if you go around telling everyone you're a shy introvert, you're not a shy introvert. You're just looking for an aspect that would make you look more unique and fish for attention.
Shut your whore mouth, guest. Being shy and introverted doesn't mean you think you're shit. Just like extroverted people, introverted people can be more or less self confident. Saying "I'm not even that bad looking" is a sign of healthy self confidence. Not high, not too low. Being introverted doesn't always mean you think you're ugly. It just means you like being alone. I, for example, think I'm not that bad looking, as well as Yup. I think I'm just an average girl with average looks. Do you want to judge me for thinking I'm average? Would you rather I said how ugly I am? Because that is what fishing for attention is, rather than saying you think you look normal.
Do you hear that? Those are the helicopters of the grammarnazi special forces zeroing in on your position, soccerplayer9923.
