You could live on coca cola and chicken mcnuggets for all I cared but as long as the energy you burn through exercise is more than the energy you consume, you will lose weight. However a diet consisting of coke and chicken would be bad in many ways due to lack of nutrients and increased inflammatory markers (such as interleukin-6 and tumour necrosis factor alpha) that could lead to diabetes and heart disease. So in conclusion, healthy eating is important for your health, but calories are important for your weight. Most importantly, exercise will help you lose weight if you use more energy than you consume. Eating healthy is a bonus for your health. Don't get your stupid as fuck health knowledge from women's magazines boys and girls; they make a lot more money by advertising "healthy" food, than exercise.
Guest #1 (as if he'll get a notif), as true as what you said is, it needs to be pointed out that losing weight slowly IS A GOOD THING. Doing so, means it will be mostly fat. As losing it quickly means its water weight, and you'll gain it all back just as fast.

One of the best ways to gain muscle in your entire body is to use the largest muscle groups (legs) by doing sprints. High intensity exercise of the legs massively increases growth hormone levels and this stimulates muscle growth globally (in the body).
Jogging won't do shit; it's too low intensity. The only thing it will do is slowly damage your knees and make you feel better about yourself, but your body sure won't benefit greatly from it. Try hill sprints. Incline running is better for your joints, and the high intensity is better for fitness and muscle growth. Did you know all the great marathon runners use various forms of high intensity training because it is more effective at improving fitness levels than long duration steady state exercise. Also training on an empty stomach after fasting for at least 12 hours increases growth hormone levels 1000% compared to training after food.
