I thought the Lost Boys were dead. Isn't there something about boys falling under the carriage wheels and there were no Lost Girls because girls were too smart to fall under the carriage?

I found it. The boys fell out of their strollers and were lost from their nannies for a week before Peter Pan came and got them. Girls were too smart to fall out of their strollers and get lost. I don't know if that's a metaphor for death or if they really got lost or what...

i don't think they were dead i think it was a metaphor for kids who had no one to care for them. i have read the book. it does mention pan killing boys who got to old, he had some serious issues, the book was written to make kids want to grow up. once again, Disney changed a story so much it is unrecognizable.

Well, i don't know about you, but i'm happy they (disney) did. I mean, i don't think that, as a child, watching movies were peter pan kills just because and cinderella's step sisters cut their feet off would be something i would've liked...

thats true, but in the case of peter pan i disagree. it can be emotionally damaging to kids to give them a hero who will never grow up. Peter pan was my favorite as a kid and i have horrible anxieties about getting older, and it's not just me, it happens to a bunch of kids. As weird as this story originally is, it's trying to teach a lesson, that being; we all grow up eventually, and it's a good thing. In most other cases i guess i have to agree, but a lot of those stories weren't necessarily made for children, instead of Disney altering old stories, you know they could have come up with their own stuff...

I will now leave to aid Captain Hook in his quest to kill Peter Pan. See you in never land. You'd best pray you're on the same team as me.

Ummmm... No. James Barrie wrote it about a couple of boys he befriended. It has nothing to do with killing.

So Peter was really the bad guy this whole time, and Hook was the good guy? D:

I hate myself for bringing this up as there is at least one comment about it in every post, however irrelevant, but there should totally be a Supernatural episode about this.

In cinderella, the steps sister get their eyes pecked out by crows and cut off their toes so they fit in the slipper.

In the little mermaid Ariel was supposed to die in the end. I was read the story as a little kid and didn't see the movie until I was about nine. When it reached the end and Ariel was still alive I loudly announced infront of all my younger cousins "she's supposed to die!" And then I got yelled at by my aunts for saying that
