It's your style, it doesn't make you anything. This is just supposed to show how people can be stereotyped by their clothes, and how hard it is to send the right message
Definitely not MY style. My parents are really conservative, and I'm not aloud to wear pants, or anything like that. It really sucks though, because I'm often perceived as prude.
That's why I liked this piece so much. Its all about how people can get the wrong message from clothes and make assumptions. I feel you though on being perceived as a prude. I can't dress how I'd like for a myriad of reasons, and I always want to tell people " WAIT ! I actually have amazing style ! Its just in my head and on my pinterest boards ! "
I'm usually "asking for it"/ "provocative" when it gets hotter out. If you look in stores these days the "fashion" is really short ass shorts. I'm more comfortable in them and its hot as hell. AND, at this moment, I got it. I might as well enjoy wearing these clothes now before I get old.

As a girl, when it gets hot here at school I feel like we're way too sexualized when it comes to wearing shorts. I've seen girls sent home for wearing shorts that were "cheeky" length and I think that's ridiculous. I could see if it was like that other picture with the "jean underwear" because that's not appropriate at all but I literally walk around in fear all day when I wear shorts or a dress because I'm afraid one of the (usually male) teachers are going to say something :/
I won't wear them to the point my ass is sticking out, but about just under that. I once had to have a talk with my principal about the shorts I chose to wear to gym class. Seriously? Plus its not about "being modest" or anything, I should be able to wear whatever I want. Boys aren't going to be trying anything on me either way, ha.
well that would mean that it shouldn't be used as a defence in a rape trail, it's about how women will get perceived if they were shorts/skirts at those lengths
Unless they actually are..
Not familiar with the culture of women out there who are proud sluts? There's a lot of women out there who dress with getting laid in mind.
This is not a guideline for "chicks" on how they should dress. Its a feminist statement about how women are wrongfully judged by their clothing. You are proving the artists point unfortunately.
