I agree. If she thinks her four year old needs a "break" from her mom, then perhaps that poor child needs a permanent break from her. "She has her own life and is doing her own thing"? She's four! What is she doing exactly besides watching cartoons and learning to count?

The child could go to a home where she will be the center of attention and well cared for. Far from someone like this. It's awful that people act like this when you have some others who can't have children at all and would care for a child very well.
