I feel like this is so sad but on a happy note not everyone is like this. One Christmas (I lived in the philippines) we spent the whole Christmas eve making spaghetti and hotdogs and we had over 50 containers. We bought some cheap toys and we went around on Christmas and gave out food and gave the children toys. We had no food left by the time we came home and people were crying, thanking us.

There are always people in need. I'm ok about helping out someone in need if I have the wherewithal to do so. Trouble is I was in France and was accosted by a woman indicating she needed money to feed her baby. We gave her 10 euros. We then saw her around a corner shortly after hanging out with a group of people smoking up large and having a good time. I felt like we had been conned.

I think that helping people in need in America is an issue that needs more attention. We should especially give to homeless or children in need. However, passing on the street we don't know this child's history. Someone could have told this child to beg for money and then give it to them. This could have been a parent or an abuser. I have been in situations where a child has asked me for money and then turned around and given it to an older person controlling them. Also that someone would ask a child to fake being homeless when there are so many in need I think isn't right. That is why I don't support actions like this.
