If the sky was clear of pollutants, we could see every system out in space. (I say system and not solar system, because our system is called the solar system because we have the sun)

every star with a system is called a solar system, our star's name is "Sol"

HOWEVER, they seem to be an organisation that has put itself in charge of such naming conventions, so it depends on whose authority you accept.

Our star's name is sol. So we have a SOLar system. The other systems are named after their local star. So a star named widow's system would be called widow, not sol or solar

Actually, Andromeda is about 2,5 million lightyears away, which means it should take atleast 2,5 million years for the light to travel to us. The ice age was "only" 12 000 years ago, so what you're claiming is false.
