It's upsetting that there is this kind of stereotype. Be nice to "depressed kids" because they are going through something hard, not because you fear them. That sickens me. There is a major difference between depressed and being homicidal. I was (and still am) depressed, and I would never ever even think about doing something so tragic. This is a whole new level of ignorant stereotypes. Be kind to others no matter what. This shouldn't even have to be said.
Thank you. I was hoping I didn't go overboard. It just upsets me to think that people are so inconsiderate. I love your username by the way! I wish you the best of luck in your fight against depression~
And you too. I don't believe you went overboard... I get the feeling. People are just ignorant and would believe any stereotype... Good luck fighting depression!!

Don't worry guys, it'll get better! Last year I finally got out of a four year depression, you just gotta find out reasons to be happy, and ignore the reasons to be sad (of course, it's not that simple)
If the person is in that kind of sick mind set they are not going to just pull out their trusty hit list and only shoot certain people they are going to shoot as many people as they can because they are angry and just don't give a f*ck. But you would have to do some f*cked up shizz to someone for them to shoot up a whole school.
You should be extra nice to the students because they need someone! Not to save your own ass... You being nice to them may just save them from killing themselves.
You might think it’s sad that people are using a small stereotype about a broader mental illness, but to these teachers it’s a clear and present risk to be teaching. Just showing up to work can get you killed. And, no, depression is a violent illness no matter how /you/ cope. Because there’s those who cut or kill themselves. Which is harmful, destructive, and can lead to an escalation to homicide. Of course that level is hard to reach, but all it takes is that 1 person. (In fact my school has drills monthly on bomb and shooter threats, plus in my 4 years we’ve had 6 bomb threats and a shooter running around outside campus)
Here in Canada you wouldn't have to worry about it because there's no way a mentaly unstable (don't mean to sound rude) teenager could ever legally get a hold of a shotgun/handgun/assault rifle
Lucifer you are correct, all I'm saying is that it would be a lot more difficult to obtain one and they would have to do so illegally with harsh punishment if they were caught.
Most of the crazy kids in America don't acquire their guns legally. Just keep in mind that they probably don't care about being caught for thievery if they intend to kill people.
That's right, guest. In canada the parents wouldn't even be able to own a gun.

What. Curlygirly before you say anything, get your facts straight. I wasn't gonna comment anything cause this may lead to a fight. But do you know ANYTHING about canada? First of all. A teen could easily get hold of fire arms example: parents, relatives, or steal one. Second of all. Famousone is right, do you really think you would care if you are a depressed teen that you would get caught or be punished (plus, if you are a teenager, you are only gonna go to jail or juvi or whatever). And THIRD of all, any adult or parent is able to obtain a gun. You got a license? You can have a gun. Next time before you say anything, dont go saying random shit thay isnt true
