'how are you' in dutch

This is how I Greet my friends and I don't even speak Dutch

That doesn't work that way, it is 'hoe gaat het met u?' Or if you know the person well 'hoe gaat het?/hoe is het?'

Yeah im dutch we doesnt say that

Now it litteraly says: 'how you are'.
I've noticed interpunction is very important with translations. I wonder if you would have got the right translation if you used a questionmark.

We say "Kako Ste?" In Croatia

In the Netherlands we dont say "hi" by asking "how are you?"
In the Netherlands we say "hi" by saying "hey"
If you want to know how the other person is you say "hoe gaat het?" or "hoe is het?" and then you actually wait for them to answer. Only in America do you ask questions without expecting a reply...
And yes I'm dutch.

It's funny because it translates to "u" and not to "je". Gosh English is easier about that than in Dutch. Dutch is hard people. Geloof mij maar.
