I don't see what the issue is with smoking. It only hurts the smoker if excessive, and I can tell you that second hand stuff is overstated.
My mom and her friends used to smoke. I was always right next to them when they did, and I can still run a mile faster than others.
I have to kind of disagree with you here, I'm not starting an argument, but yes, even though second hand smoke isn't nearly as bad as if you were inhaling it, it can still really affect your lungs in the long run. Everyone is surrounded by it from cars and other smokers and whatever but if you are around it often it can kind of mess things up. But the fact that you are running and keeping your lungs and heart strong is a good thing
As a (regretful) smoker, I disagree with you. Smoking causes massive health problems, beyond cancer even, which does affect your loved ones as well. In a macro sense, smokers also contribute to a morally bankrupt industry that values suffering.
