Is it so hard to tell the difference between Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster?

Even if you know the difference between Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster you'd have a hard time guessing who she was supposed to be. Victor Frankenstein would have been an early 19th century man (not a woman) who would've worn black rather than a lab coat (white lab coats started to be word late 19th century), wouldn't have access to rubber gloves (first made 1891) or had access to an Erlenmeyer (conical) flask (created Emil Erlenmeyer in 1860). She's got a bit of a nerve getting sh*tty with anyone quite Frank-enstein-ly.

Frankenstein was the doctor and the monster named himself Frankenstein after he died in his honour, becoming Frankenstein's Monster.

Yes Frankenstein was the scientist that created the monster, but she is a girl so it's like a cosplay right?
