Back in my elementary school days

My grade 3 teacher made us measure our pencils and if they were less than 4cm we couldn't use them but people kept them and kept sharpening them still

And the more difficult it was to write with it

Ours always had to be longer than our hand.

I'm surprised that an eraser could last that long with a pencil
