it did say most, this was the first real attempt at realistic cgi, and was the benchmark for everything else that followed

I like how this post is using a thing that no one knows how it actually looked in real life as a benchmark for "realistic."

It looks more real than modern day movies because this wasn't HD. All the new TVs and HD recordings bring more of the fake-ness out cause it's so clear. I'd take old movies over obvious CGI anyday
