All because the right (or wrong..) people got bribe money in their pockets. What a disgrace, and same for Brazil. Millions, or billions, spent on the World Cup and their people are starving and homeless.
The worst part is that it will be in FEBRUARY because in the summer, people will be burning their asses off standing or running. It will happen in February too, but not as much assburning
There's talk of completely not allowing Qatar to hold the tournament due to their views on homosexuality, alcohol, the large bribes going around and the safety factor as well. It would be terrible to hold it in February as well since this disrupts all the league games.

Well...no. It's the Olympic effect: you build all these stadiums, put a bunch of people to work and spend of a ton money making your city look great, and then it ends. It's done, and you're stuck with stadiums you'll probably never use again, and maybe, maybe, make you're money back if you're lucky. There's a brief economic boom, but then things die down, and people just go back to living their normal lives.
These events are simply for countries to strut around and show the world how good they are, but it costs billions of dollars that will never be made back to do so. It's like showing off some very expensive flowers in your front yard while the entire inside of your house is filled with crackheads and feces. Ain't nobody going to want to go inside and when the flowers die out, everyone goes home leaving you with just a huge bill and a crackhead feces house or AKA Brazil.
U can only starve or be homeless if u are a alcoholic , drug addict or the most common one, fking lazy to work.
And they actually give lots of jobs when they make this big tournaments.
So bribe or no bribe, get up and work and stop complaining if you dont live in Africa.
