the front end collided at speed into the pole, as the pole didn't move, the rear end lifted up, due to the direction of movement it twisted on impact, landing with the rear end against the other pole :D

That's my guess, I was thinking that it was due to the offset impact. When it lifted, the momentum pivoted it to the right.
