The point it's trying to bring up is that we shouldn't complain about these things. Man or woman, we shouldn't have to create standards for the other gender.
I agree, to a point. However, I don't think I look bad because I don't let media tell me or suggest that I am.
As long as my doctor tells me that my current health is ok, I'm happy
As much as I love shirtless men with a six pack, I don't expect my future husband/boyfriend to look like that. That is if I ever do meet someone I would like to have a serious relationship with.

Honestly I prefer a more stocky build... Abs and huge biceps are intimidating and much less huggable :)
Okay but just saying
Girls- You can work to lose weight/ be fit
Boys- You can work to get abs
Girls- Nothing you can do for dream boobs that isn't a fricken surgery
Same with girls also, tall girls are generally said to be more sexy. And I hate all the post encouraging women to love their body. I never see post encouraging men to love their body. They need love too.
I don't know about you all, but as a girl, I don't want a tall boyfriend. And I think small boys are the cutest fuckers ever. I just wanna hug them to death. And I really dislike seeing men absolutely ripped with tons of abs. I've honestly always found it gross.

I think the point is there is somebody for everyone. You're short? Somewhere there's someone who loves short people. You're chubby? Someone will love chubby people. (My cousins girlfriend actually gained weight after they started dating because he loves chubby girls.)
To be honest, I don't really feel expected to look
Iike that and I know a lot of men don't , and I think that a lot of women feel expected to be skinny, tall etc.
I agree with you! I'm a woman and I definitely feel pressured and judged, whereas all my guy friends are allowed to own being tubby or not having good skin etc. Not saying it doesn't affect guys, because guys shouldn't have the same thing in front of them as girls do, but the reason why it's more important for girls to not have it in front of them is because our mental reactions to situations is different, and it's more mentally taxing to women by a long shot.
I think body image issue can be the same for both sides but historically men have far more opportunities than women regardless of looks, whereas women often have to be attractive in order to be considered for a position.
For a lot of women, we don't care if you look perfect as long as you have confidence. The way you carry yourself means a lot more than what you'd think.
Yeah regardless of media standards, anyone can appreciate a nice figure of anyone. Just because I think mr. Tatum has a gorgeous body doesn't mean I expect all men to be like that, just like men and Megan fox or whoever.
