okay then. lets fix this.1.2billion years ago, the first photosynthesizers evolved. They were agar, not plants, but it counts for converting CO2 to O2. So we can scale this to 12 years, and everything else applies.
The entirety of earths forests have been destroyed several times, before humans; each to be replaced by some other species to fill in its shoes. The truth is the world will be fine after we mess up nature. Sure a lot of species will go extinct but theres more from where that came from ready to adapt and evolve to the changing climate. When scientists say the world won't be sustainable, they don't mean obliteration, the earth itself will be fine, they mean it won't be sustainable for human beings. That's right! the only thing we really fucked over is our own kind. We simply can't live in a world with a blotted out sunlight, polluted air, undrinkable water, or unpredictable extreme weather. So good job everyone for not paying attention to signs of our own extinction!
What if dinosaurs were actually an advanced race and they fucked up the earth just as badly as we're doing now, and we're gonna wind up dead in some horrible 'accident' and the world'll start anew and another species comes back and sees us humans (and the dinosaurs) and thinks 'wow they were so primitive'.
They'll know how advanced we are because of the amount of garbage and plastic we dump everywhere. Plastic degrades slower than bones and there is enough to cover all of Europe twice.
This post simply confusing 'unsustainability' with 'change'. "4 minuets" ago there were zero people on earth. By this post's logic we should eliminate the human race so that the earth can go back the way it was. Im glad to read these comments that support independent thought and dont just support what they read.
citation please, sounds like just another activist statistic
