I don´t know why I´m getting downvoted: I was talking in terms of history-Portugal was the first country to have independence-that´s a fact. Sure America is more..."liberal" and respects their freedom more than we do but don´t downvote me when I´m just talking about history and a fact tha can´t be changed. Portugal changed the world: thanks to my country we have discovered many things and places. every country is important! Now we´re in a deep economical crisis but we respect our past.

I'm part portuguese, but even better, I have 2 portuguese citizens on my PSN, making Portugal a better gaming country than mine (USA) per capita!

I think what he meant to say is that the idea of believing that you´re free makes you feel like you´re free when, in reality, you´re not. My Philosophy teacher told me that no one is truly free

Ya you are. You are free to do whatever you want. You have your agency which enables you to be free. That doesn't mean there aren't consequences though, good or bad, but you are free to do whatever you want.

You're not free. Freedom is the ability to do WHATEVER you want without the NSA or GCHQ breathing down the back of your neck.

They don't control what you do. You are free to do whatever you want. Even if they are. I don't agree with the NSA or GCHQ but you can still do anything you want.

Free to do whatever you want? Big words. No they don't control you just watch and I wouldn't do WHATEVER I want with them behind me.

You are restricted especially when your action, although it may be and seem good to you, could harm or endanger others.

Why the down votes? South Korea is basically as free as any other country.
