There's no way that after only 18 months would all the tissue, muscles and organs have decayed completely (maybe eaten though). But still, the bones wouldn't get that fragile? And just wither away? No that seems ridiculous. Great story but last part a little unrealistic.

Am I the only one who actually already knew that?
