Most Common Language By State Besides English or Spanish

I was really surprised about that too...

There's apparently a dialect of German only spoken in Texas. ( I can also vouch for the Vietnamese language being widely spoken here )

The midwest was heavily settled by German immigrants.

It sounds like a First Nations language. I'm not sure, though.

I heard there was no national language. Because when they declared independence there were other countries in what's now north America and a lot of people were immigrants who spoke other languages.

I'm /preeeeeeeeetty/ sure Chinese is a language. Though there are many dialects (mandarin, etc.) spoken, those are considered "Chinese" but from a Western point of view. [they don't call their language that]
