Yeah I use the international format personally, but I have to see and recognize the American way as my fellow countrymen are too stupid to use it

I do not get it. Why not use a single internationally accepted notation and use something else which confuses the majority of people?

I don’t really know. I use d/m/y because it calms my ocd, but other than that it does cause a lot of problems with other americans. when talking to my international friends they seem to understand it so eh
