I was once told (anecdotally) that men can survive without love, but they need to be respected. Women can survive without respect, but they need to be loved. Small difference, seems to make sense.
.
Although I'd like to add that men need to love something and women need to respect something.
I think being a "whore" should be ok. People can screw with whoever they want and how many they want. I think it's when you, as a person, are just terrible, that there is a lack of respect. You respect people you see as good human beings, helping the world in some way, treating people with kindness, and not being a hypocrite or bigot. Your sexual relationships should have nothing to do with it, unless of course, they break other people's relationships knowingly.
True but would you marry a woman who is a prostitute by profession? If I did I'd get a job that pays enough so she doesn't have to do it but if she wants to do it what's going to stop her from cheating on me and that would break my heart :,(
(I don't belive that any one should cheat on their partners, man or woman if you do that you will lose my respect)
Sorry for the rambling have a slice of the most delicious cake ever *stars throwing cake at people*
Well I'm a girl, but I get where you're coming from, which is why I said unless they break relationships. I don't think the prostitute would want to be tied down in a relationship anyway if that's the predicament. Thank you! *starts throwing brownies*

I didn't mean whore as in being with multiple people in a short time, but as in being a bad person and all that.
Come on guys, don't take words literally.
In my opinion, everything is respectable, even being a "whore". Everything is respectable until that person doesn't respect you. If you take cheating as not respecting someone (which I do), then yes, you don't deserve to be respected, Otherwise, you can do whatever the hell you want, You don't have to be selfless if that's not who you are, be yourself, always respecting others.
This works between any two people. Between a man and a woman, between two generations, between a boss and an employee...can't we leave the "gender war" out of this?
