I hesitate to be the spoil sport, but- feet washing was a very common practice, regardless of whether or not the word foot was used as a euphemism. That's like looking at an old painting of a feast and due to it's inclusion of a bird (which used to be a euphemism) concluding it must be a painting about sex.

The reason why the apostles were disgusted was because, washing someone feet was a sign of respect. Since he washed a prostitute's feet, they thought, "How could Jesus lower himself to the level of a prostitute?" Remember people in those times, whores were considered sub-humans.

Um, well actually the whole new testament in the bble is written in greek. I do't kw if tat affects this, but I think it might, It's the old testament written in hebrew
