I don't know about a Nobel prize, but he sure deserves some form of memorialization.
Perhaps naming that cliffside after him:
(Wise old man's name) Lookout Point.
.
Perhaps even a bronze statue of him, reaching out his hand and wearing a concerned smile.
Lol, guess he is a good writer? Novel lol. But I don't think he'll get a Nobel prize, probably because he doesn't save millions or thousands. Otherwise all Emergency service workers deserve them.....
I'm sorry, are you seriously suggesting he doesn't deserve recognition, just because he hasn't saved 'millions or thousands'? He was an absolute angel, and I can't believe you would sully his amazing achievement. Disrespect of the highest level.
Jillaroo - the point they were making has to do with the title of the post suggesting he should win the 'novel' prize when it's really called the Nobel prize...the poster made a typo and some people have absolutely no sense of humour
See, I considered that when I read the comment, but then when the 'point' about all emergency service workers deserving a medal was tacked onto the end, I don't think that was the soul purpose of their comment. The 160 was only the number that's been officially recorded, by the way, it's estimated that he's saved hundreds more people. That sort of dedication and result doesn't deserve a laugh at a typo, which is then accompanied by a comment that demeans his efforts.
Now you just blew it up completely, you know in your right mind that's not what I meant. He truly is an amazing man, but I simply stated why they wouldn't give it to him though.
Perhaps naming that cliffside after him:
(Wise old man's name) Lookout Point.

I agree, Jillaroo. He sounds amazing.
