it clots it in your veins if you're bitten, this is why you'll die. funfact, 9 out of the 10 most venomous snakes are in australia

Yes. A drop of venom is dropped in the glass of blood, swirled around, then they "pour" the blood (now clotted) in to the petri dish

I studied this venom in medical school; it's from the Tiger snake and its venom causes coagulation in the blood.
