I applaud these students for making something to help keep women safer. It's very unfortunate that something like this needs to be invented in the first place.
I hear a lot about ppl complaining about this, saying that they shouldn't be left with all the weight of this or something, and although everyone should just have values, I find this clever, useful and thoughtful
As a woman, I disagree with this. If this product becomes popular, then soon it would be "women's fault" if they got drug raped. Most likely people would say something like "well, it's your fault you got drug raped, you didn't check your drink with your nail polish". Although the product is quite clever, I really don't see the difference between this product and the spiky tampons invented in India. If people really want to decrease rape then they should focus on educating men/ increasing the penalty of rape, instead of expecting women to arm themselves and be on guard all the time.
I do understand your point of view- and educating everyone against rape is definitely the course of action that needs to happen, but no matter how we do this there will always be some danger. At least this provides a partial means of protection for women.
It is another tool, like pepper spray, a knife, or a whistle. You cannot be blamed for not being able to use the tool. It's just something else for your arsenal.
It's also not real. Check snopes out before you hit share.
They've "come up with an idea" for it.
There's a cracked article about it, but to lazy to link.
How do you get that? I have friends in America who are helping out this research, so it's not fake you retarded person. Get your facts straight before you insult something.
Doesn't tell us what "drugs" it detects though. Most likely GHB. Anyone ever tasted GHB? It's salty as fuck. If you can't taste that in your drink then you deserve to be raped. It's also a controlled drug and really fucking expensive. Furthermore, most women claiming to have been drugged actually are just inebriated (as confirmed by blood tests). This nail polish is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
How's the view? I hear that little bubbles of ignorance have a great view. I hear they also come with isolated closed minded opinions, are they treating you well?
Hahaha fuck me guest you made my day. You're right about the false rape claims though.
"A meta-analysis by Rumney (2006) suggests that between 10-50% of rape allegations are false."

Actually statistically sound research, not just fucking overweight SJW's trying to drown out logic and science with their uncouth bellowing about privilege.
It's not a war people, stop fucking treating it like one.
Also, added from my previous comment.-
Stop fucking downvoting factual responses just because you don't like them.
It's people like you who keep making stupid people famous.
2006 seems a little out of date... Granted yes rape accusations do come up false a lot of the time, because we live in a society that it's such a red flag, people take advantage of the hysteria, but I would enjoy seeing a more up to date statistic.
On a serious note, this is absolutely brilliant.
Kinda not a real thing yet, although the concept is out there.
