Why is it that people litter, like couldn't you have put it in your pocket for a while, or just hold onto it a little longer?

It's not about convenience, I've seen people drop litter on the ground feet away from a trash can they were walking towards. It's simple selfishness, they just don't care about anyone around them.

Today I legit saw a person throw out their car window a foam container and drove away. I turned my head side to side thinking: "Really? Was that REALLY necessary?"

I totally agree with this. What is with some people, anyway? At the strip mall near my home, there are 4 waste bins along the sidewalk, yet there is ALWAYS trash on the ground.
