My Dad was a fireman and even though I was just 6 I still remember the days he come home and hug us a little bit longer then normal. I remember him always smelling strongly of smoke on those days. Wasn't till years later did I realise that it was those days when he almost didn't come home.

Thankfully he took a safer job and became a state fire Marshall. He was even one of the leading inspectors on the Oklahoma bombing. He retired about 10 years ago but he got bored and became a cop. Lol I guess he just loved the danger.
