Yeah, that's what I meant. He mocked them, which is cool, but if anyone ever said that in front of me and meant it completely seriously, I'd probably high five their face with a brick.
Why? Racism is not just physical, it's psychological, it's a way of thinking. Even for you to get so angry if someone does question this seriously, is questionable. It's not just signs, it's everything in society that ( consciously or unconsciously) says " white is right ( pure, clean) and black is bad (violent, evil, mean)". Try looking at things from a different perspective. Just for a moment. And ask questions, instead of instant anger + defensiveness.
Aaaaand somebody got offended. That took less time than I expected.
Look, the bloody reason it is that way is that every sign has a set of colours in which it's painted, so the drivers can associate a different set of colours with a different meaning and react to them better and faster. It's just the way it is. Imagine switching colours of just two traffic signs. It'd get the people really confused and traffic accidents would go up, people would die, and for what? Because someone out there might get offended by a black stickman on a traffic sign?
Besides, the whole "afraid of the colour black" thing is logical. Humans aren't nocturnal creatures, meaning a nocturnal creature might get them, meaning they're afraid of the dark. Light, however, feels comforting, because we see what's coming for us. It's biological. Or do you think black people hate the daylight and like the dark? Do you think they're nocturnal? No! But associating darkness with bad and light with good isn't racist.
i think its hilarious as a joke! lol but if someone came up to me and meant it, id tell them to leave because we ewqua is right. we may not realize it but color association is more important than we think!!! (and i dont mean color of the skin, I mean white means yay happy bright whoohoo and black is what we wear at funerals lol) PLEASE DONT TAKE THAT THE WRONG WAY PEOPLE
His last name means Pancake xD
