My brother in law had a hard time stopping at stop lights and stop signs when he got back from Iraq. If you stopped moving when driving, you were easier to attack. The skills and mind set if a soldier can be destructive when applied to life outside of war, but they're really hard to leave behind.
Guest I hope you have friends you can lean on, if not just keep posting here to dump the weight off your shoulders. Our friend is going through this. He cannot drive on garbage day because he thinks the bags and cans could be booby trapped. He doesn't want to use medications to sleep and is recovering very slowly. He is afraid to use the available counseling services in our state and is going it alone. We all help how we can, mostly with food and conversation.
Seriously, I was there too. If this is real you NEED to find some help. And not the liquid kind either. The VA does have the resources to help you. I would suggest the VA in Grand Junction, CO. As far as I and my Battles are concerned it is one of the best in the country. If that is too far, Please look to the nearest one to you. As long as you were in the cat-box you qualify for treatment. You will need to talk to the OIF-OEF rep. Don't be afraid to ask for help, brother.
No matter how the comment is worded, they are asking a suffering veteran to seek help. A veteran, by the way, who helps keep this country free so pretentious, attention-seeking assholes like you can make an ignorant comment on an un-censored internet.
And in answer to your obnoxious question, yettalou's comment is grammatically correct and the message is direct. Does it need to be in the form of a freaking sonnet to please you? Or perhaps a haiku? Just in case you do indeed require a haiku, here's one for you:
You are a big jerk
Until you join the service
Keep your damn mouth shut.
Medically denied cunt. My problem with the comment is the grammatically correct statement "don't suffer alone needlessly, do whatever it takes to be at peace again" is NOT what you tell somebody suffering from mental problems. You tell them to talk to people, you tell them that you are there for them, and you tell them to seek professional medical help, you tell them there are others like them and they are not alone. Speaking as somebody who has been there the wording of the other comment has a dark undertone that somebody on the edge does not need. You pretentious attention seeking asshole. ..I..
If you notice the earlier comment I made, that's EXACTLY what I said. I told the OP we were here for them and to seek help, etc. take the time to read it.
And HAVE you truly been there? Have you been to war? Fought and killed and not been able to sleep for years afterwards? Because I have. And so had my father. And my brother. I have also experienced PTSD from many other horrible incidents in my life. Like my father shooting himself in the head in front of me because of a PTSD-induced rage. You can even google it if you like. Just drop it.
You're a real ass. I said I had dealt with mental health issues, not that I had been to war. I told you I was deemed medically unfit for service, unlike my father who served '67-71. I said I didn't like somebody else 's comment and you got all high and mighty. You seem to have a real attitude problem. I never had a problem with your original comment, it was similar to my original comment, maybe you should take the time to read.
We are here for you, friend. I have experienced the PTSD you are going through and so have the other soldiers in my family. We love you, and we care about you. Seek help, because it will be freely given.
Love,

Please get help I got therapy for some PTSD that I had after a really bad car accident (no where near as bad as war but I would have panic attacks everytime I got in a car). Therapy really helped me get over that. You don't have to go through this alone.
If this post is serious/real, thank you for your service and protecting our country. It's the brave people like you who make America what it is today. Thanks so much for fighting for our freedoms and risking everything every day for people you don't even know. Not all heroes wear capes and all soldiers are examples of that!!
