They should honestly ban laptops before multitools. A laptop can be used as a bludgeon and the battery can be overcharged. When Li-ion batteries overcharge even just a little bit, they have a fairly high change of rupturing and potentially explode. And if you break the battery there's acid.

There was an incident on a plane where the person stabbed their friend to death with tweezers. So it's probably why they banned them

No shit Sherlock, thats the point but they're a tiny weapon which in turn seems extremely unlikely and impractical to use therefore its funny to think that someone would use them as such.
