Meat eating people and vegans die of heart disease at almost the same rate, but for different reasons. Meat eating people have high cholesterol and all that while vegans are deficient in certain vitamins and proteins which cause inflammation in their heart which eventually kills them if they don't catch it quick enough. Sorry I can't be more specific, my professor was talking about it the other day and didn't go into that much detail.
Meat eating people have high cholesterol? Research has shown that a diet high in sugar raises cholesterol levels. I eat plenty of meat and my cholesterol levels are normal.
I didn't say all people who eat meat have high cholesterol, the ones who die from heart disease generally do because they had high cholesterol from eating way too much red meat and other animal products (and other factors also contribute). Also certain people can get away with more without getting high cholesterol while others have to be really careful. I eat meat too and I am also fine.
I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate but if this was the other way round everyone would be angry. I respect people who eat meat, my whole family does, I don't "hate" them, but still, I get a lot of hate from other people, they mock me because I choose not to eat meat. And I do accept jokes, but lately it's getting ridicuolous and I'm just sick of having to stay quiet while people keep making fun of me, like it's the right thing to do, like you must hate vegans because they are just wrong.
It's dumb that people have to be nasty about other people's lifestyle choices. Vegans do that a lot too with PEETA's borderline violent protests and getting in people's faces all the time, but still, it's wrong to take that out on every vegan you meet because most of them aren't extremist douchebags.
