Nothing wrong with Shounen shows, they usually don't have the depth and most of the time characters you care about won't die (and if they do they come back), also any fan service will be in the form of comedy, but it's still entertaining.
I don't think anyone has ever said Attack on Titan or Bleach are for kids..... Also, about the so called 'anime for adults'.... K-On (the first one) happens to be a kids/teens show in Japan, also in Japan words like hell, damn, and even sometimes bitch are okay for kids shows because Japanese is a very blunt language, so yeah, English speaking adults can watch anime that's originally meant for children without having their intelligence questioned too much.
And last time I checked, when the numbers start ending with 'teen' they're teenagers. You wouldn't show the same thing you show to a 14 year old to an 8 year old.
Where do you live? So I can move there, teenagers where I live make most toddlers looks mature! Have you ever seen a teenager (15 at the time) punch a fridge because his parents wouldn't buy him an ipad? I have. He broke three fingers and a bone in his wrist.
@deadpool007
Teenagers are not more mature than children, because they are children. They are of course generally more mature that children younger than them and less mature than children older than them, because that's how maturing works. Kids don't have some sort of massive jump in maturity on their 13th birthday, it's gradual throughout life. The point at which you become a teenager is arbitrary and that fact is that teenagers are children.
Are you a teenager perhaps? That might explain your inability to accept the definition of a child as many teenagers don't want to thing of themselves as children, though they are.
Well, I'm 19, so yeah, I guess I'm a teenager, but the point I'm trying to make is that anyone 13 or over is classed as a teenager, younger than that is a child. And I'm from South Africa, and I can tell you that most teens here are extremely responsible, depending on their background. But besides that, teens are generally able to handle more mature content than children, thus movies have a pg-13 rating, indicating they can handle things that younger ones wouldn't.
.... Unless your children are infants too young to process what's happening on the screen, or you do what my dad did when I used to watch dragon ball z with him and remind them that swear words are bad and cover their eyes at the gory parts
It's an Echi, aka, an anime that takes humour from nudity and more paticularly, boobs, but this doesn't always mean that it shows completely naked characters

In response to the guest's remark about GochiUsa (Is the Order a Rabbit?), there as literally no ecchi in that show. The most it got was when they went to a pool, and even then it was conservative angels and not made to produce lust.
I prefer seinen or good shonen, without all the stupid kiddy stuff or the cute anime girls. Some of those shows aren't bad, but I don't enjoy them. For reference, a seinen is like an animated drama targeted toward adults, while shonen is for kids but often with adult themes.
Seinen isn't just damned drama, it's anything made for guys 16 and over. There's usually more real life type situations and real life has drama in it, but there are plenty of action, scifi, fantasy and all other kinds of seinen shows.

I have seen 3 of the 4 shows on the bottom. and I can tell you that this is utter bullshit. I don't think I even need to mention the fact that you cannot quantify an entire medium in approximately 3 genres.

Also if you really want to get technical, Black Bullet(second from left on bottom) is classified as shonen (young males).
Uhm, I'm sorry if I'm acting like an imbecile and stupid, but what are the animes? I know some of them like AoT, and Dragonball Z.

in order of appearance:
Attack on Titan, FullMetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z, and Bleach
K-On, Black Bullet(not even slightly related to the image used, though it is still shit), Is the Order a Rabbit?, and D-Frag(a comedy that is fucking amazing)
Uhhh. The bottom is for horny teens that want to see big boobs and the top is for intelligent adults who can understand a god story...

I have watched every show up there except for K-On and Bleach(I stopped after the Bount arc), and I can say for a definite fact that you are wrong. The only character (from the main cast) with mildly large breasts on the bottom row, was Takao from D-Frag (far right). If anything, Bleach is for the horny teens who want to see big boobs.
And every show on top is technically classified as shonen. They all ran in a shonen magazine, and thus are shonen (young boys). And the only show up there in either category with a good story is FullMetal Alchemist (both versions). Attack on Titan has the inkling of great potential, but so far (anime at least) has not been explored.
Not quite sure what the two on the bottom right are. Loved Black Bullet, couldn't get past the boring nature of k-on, but the other two look interesting. Not sure if I saw them and can't place them from the picture or just haven't seen them.
