Well Santa in our house (I mean my grandmother but shush for the 9 year olds on this site) left footprints out of ash from the fireplace, because that's where he comes from, down the chimney.

My parents did that too, but we figured out pretty quickly that Santa wears running shoes.

My grandmother forgot that she left the shoes she used for the footprints next to the fireplace, full of ashes, so that was ruined :P

Yeah, I agree, there are some pretty dirty things on here, that 9 year olds shouldn't know, especially if they have an account and can look at the hidden things.

My parents literally convinced me fully for a few years when I was starting to be skeptical. They took my dads boots and stuck the in the ash of the fire place and left footprints on the mantle thing.

What's the point in lying to your children about Santa or the Easter bunny if they are just going to find out its fake and be sad. I think its kind of stupid in the long run.

By the time a child realizes Santa isn't real, they should also be mature enough to realize that it was little more than a game, and should be a happy memory. Or they just don't care. Either or works.
