In, like, sixth grade I thought the a from the ariel font was really cool so I forced myself to start writing my a's like that and now it feels weird to do the thing where it's an o with a tail.

I've developed 3 different hand writings for myself. One of them is my brother's so that's fun.

I wish people were as accepting about handwriting as they were about topics such as gay marriage and freedom of religion.

Well, that's the same for humans. We're all exposed to a basic similar education, but our perceptions are different. Our personalities too, differ, even if we're exposed to the same thing.

I actually wonder if someone writes like the way we were taught...

That's actually one of the ways to know if someone has been replaced by a robot doppleganger.

When I was in 5th grade my teacher brought her mom to school one day and so I was just doing my work and so her mom didn't like how I held my pencil so she tried making me hold it like how the other kids did, couple minutes later she gave up. I felt like I was the only one who held my pencil like that until in 7th grade I saw a girl write like that too. So I asked her " you write like that too?" and she said "too?" when I showed her how I held my pencil she was like "I thought I was the only one" and to this very day we are best friends

I wish I could find a best friend like that. I hold mine where the tip is between my ring and middle fingers and my hand is basically a fist with my thumb on the side/top of my hand (like by the rest of my pencil). Everyone says it's weird then tries it and fails miserably. They tried fixing it before I got to second grade because cursive would be "sooo hard" if I kept at that way of holding it and that never worked so I just went through cursive with it and everyone was just like, "Oh, well. I guess it works for her."

When I was in the fourth grade I was messing with fonts and I came across Biondi. I thought it was coolest font ever and copied it, and now it's really hard to not write everything in capital letters.
