I might get hate for this, but it seems to me that he was looking for the day to be beautiful and memorable and she just saw it as a joke. I mean, was it a cruel joke? The wedding IS about looks, are you kidding me? It's about celebrating a loving day with beautiful pictures to show family, friends and your own kids in the future. Yes, he should love her no matter how she looks, but that was the point. She doesn't normally look like that. It was a joke. She was going to have to take the makeup off.
