It's not in minutes, it's the multiple of the number it is originally set to toast one. So if it is set to pop 30 seconds in, you set it to 5, it'll take 2.5 minutes. If it's defaulted to 3 minutes, you'll have charcoal if you set it to 4

It isn't "no tears" as in it won't irritate your eyes and make you cry. It's "no tears" as in no rips or split ends.
