*hugs back* Yeah, I'm actually a pretty big fan! I'm almost at the end of Inquisition. I romanced the Iron Bull and let me tell ya, it was hella weird but hilarious at the same time. Who did you romance? :3
I'm still at the very beginning of Inquisition, but in the first and second, I played a Dalish elf chick and romanced Leiliana (Which was very unrewarding..), and then in the second, I played a guy and romanced Fenris~! (Fenris's was awesome, and we could bond over our hatred of mages~)
Damn...you will probably hate me but in DA2 I romanced Anders and sided with the mages. In Origins it was Alistair all the way, but I played it so many times I actually romanced everyone. In DA 2 as well, except Isabella I think. And yes, Leliana's romance was very unrewarding. Also Fenris indeed is an amazing character but I was more into Anders tbh. But that might have been because of the Awakening nostalgia.
*Stares for a moment, swaying side to side afterwards to calm down* Th-That's okay.. Um.. Wh-What was Alistair's like? What about Anders? What was your reaction to what he did at the end? (I'm glad you agree with me on Leiliana, there are a lot of people who get upset when you mention what a waste romancing her is.) What was your reaction to what Isabella did? And have you read the books? (I haven't, but people keep telling me they're great.)
Alistair's romance is my all time favourite. At first he's really awkward because he doesn't know how to tell a lady he has feelings for her, but him struggling with it is probably the sweetest thing ever. Plus he gives you a rose and makes funny comments about stuff.
Anders's romance is okay, but I honestly liked him much more in Awakening. He changed from a funny runaway mage into a dark renegade. I understand what he did, even though it doesn't excuse him. But I must admit, Elthina (the grand cleric at the chantry he blew up) kinda had it coming at her. Firstly, I did warn her about it, but she didn't listen and chose to stay in Kirkwall. Secondly, not only she chose to stay, but also not to support either side. She was like a hen sitting in an empty nest even though the eggs she's supposed to protect are elsewhere. I understand that the Chantry's supposed to be neutral but I really didn't like her opinion about the whole thing.
Isabela, well...she stole a religious book to pay a debt, which was an extremely stupid thing to do, but I rather killed the Arishok than let them take her (that is, if she comes back - I think you need to have enough friendly approval for that to happen). I never really liked the Qunari philosophy anyway.
I haven't read the books yet, but I hope I will as soon as I finish A song of Ice and Fire :)
What are your opinions?
I'm glad you enjoyed romancing him so much~ Alistair and I were pretty good friends in Origins, and Zevran was a good friend, too. *Has nothing good to say in response to your opinions with Anders and Elthina, so just doesn't really comment on this one*- Yeah, Isabella seems pretty cool at first, but then she turns out to be a giant piece of sad. *Disagrees with you regarding the Qunari, but doesn't want to argue, so she just won't comment*-
Whoo~! Ne, did you recognize Fiona~?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the Qunari. I romanced Bull and I'm pretty fine with him, I just don't like that they were so fanatic about the Tome in DA2. I didn't like the fact that Isabella backstabbed me either, so it's pretty 50:50. And I liked Tallis, so I guess I'm rather fine with the Qunari. Their system just seems pretty harsh to me.
I didn't recognize Fiona, actually. I thought she was just a new face, but I knew I've already heard the name. I still can't remember where has she appeared before, though...
Oh, yay! Yeah, they were pretty revved up about it. *Nods* Isabella's kind of made out of suck. At first she seems cool, but then it's more like she's just a jerk. *Nod nod*
So you know about her being Alistair's mom and stuff? She appears in one of the books~
True, true. At first she's cool but then she's kinda a bitch. She was the coolest in Origins, I think. I read the fan theories/rumors about Fiona, but I didn't know before. And it's pretty shocking! I mean, first of all she's an elf. That isn't really a proof itself since Alistair could've just inherited more of Maric than her, but she also seems so young! I don't know how old she's supposed to be, but in Inquisition she looks maybe 35! And considering Alistair's supposed to be between 20 and 25 in Origins, plus a few years since DA 2, that's just straight out weird. But maybe that's just the elven aging process. In any case, it's one helluva mindfuck!
Yeah.. I understand her decision, though, she must've felt pretty thoroughly backed into a corner. And I doubt Tevinter was really giving her much of a choice. *NOD NOD NOD* I'd really love to find out how old she is, maybe the next game will tell us?
How's the romance? Sera is a cool character but I always thought of her more as a friend than a lover. Is her romance as funny as the rest of her conversations?
*remembers all the Dragon Age games' dating options*
Yeah, right...
