I agree. But not because I think police are in the right. This has been done, and the complaints against police dropped by 88%, and their use of force dropped by 60%. And that was simply due to them knowing they would be held accountable for their actions.

Also, cameras might help detectives. If a suspect leaves a clue as he/she is fleeing or if the crime scene is in a way that it won't stay preserved (like say it's outside and raining heavily), a camera would help people working on the case after the crime has happened. It would also help sketch artists if, again, the criminal was caught in the act but fled before he/she could be apprehended.

God forbid a white cop defend himself or use any amount of force to apprehend someone resisting arrest.
