I did. Season two was a deal breaker for me. I just didn't have it in me to keep watching that show. I just couldn't watch deplorable charecters I couldn't empathize with make stupid choices that made me want to scream at the screen.
.
I may eventually at some point try to catch up after it gets canceled, but its doubtful.

The sentence "I just couldn't watch deplorable characters I couldn't empathize with make stupid choices that made me want to scream at the screen" is actually the exact reason why I can't make it through the second or third season of 90% of the shows I watch.
And then, there's "WHAT'S GODDAMN FUNNY ABOUT HIM HAVING A CHIDLHOOD SO BAD IT LEFT HIM THESE TERRIBLE EMOTIONAL SCARS YOU RECORDED LAUGHTER BUT I ACTUALLY WANT TO CRY" (The Big Bang Theory, somewhere in Season 2 or 3, I just don't remember).
Oh no, the whole thing with The Big Bang Theory is a whole another seperate complaint for me.

Playing on the worst steriotypes of the exceptionally smart for cheap laughs, for a start. All the while, using technology to communicate the show that was created by the same sort of intelligent people that you are encouraging people to laugh at... all for marketing dollars.
It's cute you think it won't.
Network execs don't give a flying fuck about the shows, the content or message of the shows or the fans that watch them. It's all about the marketing dollar.

If ratings go down, even if they are looking at wrong, bad or poorly sourced numbers, advertisers won't pay for that time. Revenue goes down and it starts to get hard to justify keeping that show.

Zombies in pop culture has been over saturated and interest has waned. Several people here have stated that they don't watch anymore and according to Nielson Ratings, each one of us represents 250,000 viewers in their scheme.
You may be forgetting it's on AMC. Its AMC's most popular show since Breaking Bad finished. There's no way in hell they are going to cancel their most popular show. They even have a show after a new episode airs dedicated to talking about that episode with cast and other celebrities. Unless it runs into its 15th season (exaggeration of course), it's not getting canceled. Also, I know a lot of people who started watching it just because they hear about it all of the time. Just because some people don't watch it anymore, doesn't mean that someone isn't there to take their place.

For me, I feel like it's a REALLY good show, it's pretty popular. I feel as if it got canceled, a lot of people could be upset, devastated, some maybe happy. I feel as if it could be a long running show.
If a show triggers such a strong response from you (yelling at the tv) then it must be at the very least compelling and/or thought provoking. That's more than can be said for 95% of the crap on tv. Also, u don't have to like a character. It is part of storytelling to develop a character that is so far from societal norms that it is hard to identify with them personally. It makes you think outside the box. I like the Walking Dead for that reason, amongst others. Ok. Have a great day from a guest. Love the site.
First off...I respect your opinion! My 'yell at the TV' moments were more out of frustration for straying so far from the graphic novels. Usually I can respect the way TV shows have to differ from their book counterparts to garner views and while I respected their decisions, I couldn't quite grasp how many changes they had made. To each their own! Its a great show! Just not for me :)
