That octopus has "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey" down better than some people I know.

He opens the jar and then after he is partially out he just slides back in. I kind of understand that feeling. You want to be there but not kept there.

Putting the lid on cut off it's supply of oxygenated water. Once the lid is off, a crevice like that would be an ideal spot for an octopus.
