If any religion is a peaceful one it's the amish, they don't try to convert everybody they don't try to kill you if you believe different, and they respect everybody as a human as long as you respect them, the only thing they are against is modern technology yet they don't go and try to destroy it all.
As far as I'm concerned, to each their own and its best to stay that way, as many people as there are in this world not everyone will believe the same thing and the sooner people realize that the better off we will all be! As far as anybody knows we could all be wrong and we came into existence because some ancient alien used our planet as an outhouse on the way to its parents house.
Hey Mandag, let's talk about the Crusades and say that Christianity is a religion of peace...
In every religion, there are people who get the point ("BE A GOOD PERSON, GODDAMMIT") and people who get it wrong ("KILL THE INFIDELS").
You know it posters like this give with no further explanation that really tarnish the image of Islam. I mean I hope people realize that these punishments are not enforced anymore and if you look at Christianity and other religions as well as just countries a few centuries ago you would realize that they were just as violent if not more so.
Don't wanna be punished like those stated? Then don't do the things like stealing or drinking or killing. Islamic countries impose these laws, yes. The people are afraid to be punished, so they don't do it and so the punishment is not carried out. It's not really hard to just stay still and be a good citizen when you've been brought up to not do such things. Don't blame Islam for being such a "peaceful religion" (I'm being sarcastic). Such punishments can lower down crime rates because people know it is the law to be punished for what you did. Some Islamic countries do have lower crime rates because of these laws. It is for the good of the whole country. I'm just saying what I wanna say. You can hate me or unlike or downvote (whatever) my comment but I'm just saying ^_^
