Bicultural people may change their personality when they switch languages

I speak more than one language, and I can totally confirm this.

Isn't Spanish naturally a more assertive language? They don't beat around the bush when telling you something like we do with English, at least that's what I've noticed.

I never noticed how right is this... For example when I´m talking my native language I would never use a curse word, but in english...? And some things are easier to say for me, when I´m talking english...

I can speak German and Russian, and through learning it in classes the instructor is usually from that region/ country and they usually tell you little quirks about that country an little bits of info:
I learned about Spezi (German fanta and coke combined) from my German Instructor, Ms. Burgess, who's family is from Germany.

my exes mother was dutch and when she spoke in dutch she was totally normal, when she spoke in english she was like a fruit loop, she spoke both languages perfectly just seemed to have a different personality for both....

for me its the contrary, english isnt my main language but still makes me feel independent and better with myself that actually speaking in spanish
